BAFA have confirmed that the 2015 BritBowl will be held at Allianz Park, home of rugby union side Saracens.
The move sees the show-piece finals return to London after being held at the John Charles Stadium in Leeds for the past two seasons.
The stadium recently hosted the BAFA Autumn Meeting, and provided a training base for the Miami Dolphins on their recent visit for the International Series.
Speaking to BritView NFL, BAFA director Andy Fuller said
“We’re delighted to have been working closely with Saracens and our partners at Allianz Park and we think this venue is going to be the perfect home for our showpiece game in 2015.
“The fans are going to be very close to the field – they are going to feel every hit and share in the emotion of every play. It’s a tremendously atmospheric stadium and it has so much going for it from a spectator and hospitality point of view.”
While the initial deal is only for the 2015 season, BAFA are said to be keen on pursuing a long-term arrangement should the venue prove a success.
UPDATE: BAFA and BUCS have now confirmed that the 2014/15 University Championship finals will now also be held at Allianz Park.
