Arctic Flamingos Win London Heat of Jags Se7ens Cup!

The Arctic Flamingos emerged victorious from the London heat of the Jaguars UK Se7ens Cup, defeating the London Smoke in the final to advance to the Championship fixture, playing off to win the incredible prize of a trip to the Super Bowl!

Now, you’d be forgiven if your first response to hearing this news was: ‘Who?’

Ours was too!

The amazing Jags Se7ens initiative has received significant international attention this year, and it was only when we reached out to flag aficionado, British National Champion, GB Lion and Jags7s runner-up from last year, Vince Machi, that we learned the ‘Arctic Flamingos’ are German Flag Football National Champions, the Walldorf Wanderers.

The Wanderers were hosts of this year’s BigBowl tournament, finishing in fourth place, but are now in with a great shot of winning what is effectively the biggest prize in European American Football!

The ‘Flamingos’ will head to the Championship game, hosted once again this year at Allianz Park on Friday 26 October, ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ Wembley International Series fixture… but who will they be facing?

The second heat of the tournament, hosted in Manchester, takes place later this month and is reportedly stacked with top contenders!

2017 Runners-Up, the Baker Street Button Hookers, will be there, along with representatives of the Danish national team, an Austrian All-Star team, 2017 Manchester-Heat runners-up Pole Axe, along with Manchester’s own Titans and Crows!
