BAFA NL ’19 | Deadline Day – Who went where?

Obviously, we’re still a long way from the NFL’s media-centric approach to football – there’s no live feed of transfer press releases to work with, so I’ve simply done my best to scout out social media announcements from as many teams as possible, ahead of Tuesday night’s transfer deadline!

And, truth be told, there’s been a few eyebrow-raising last-minute moves across the league!

It should be noted, these were just those transfers that were announced publicly via teams Social Media outlets in the past 72 hours – it’s very likely there have been a lot more moves made and if you’d like to add to the list please let me know who’s headed where via our Facebook page!

It looks like a couple of the Associate sides building towards league entry in 2020 have seen a good number of additions, or at least have been among the best at letting people know about them!  The Nighthawks and Vikings, too, have shared some key additions to their rosters, particularly on defence.

One transfer that catches my eye, however, is that of Adam Gumbs from the Falcons to associate side, the Northants Knights. Gumbs follows in the footsteps of his brother, Wayne, who joined the Knights’ coaching staff earlier this year, and considering the central role the Gumbs family have played in the Falcons’ rapid rise up the Britball ranks, it’ll be interesting to see if they’re able to build similar success within the new Knights outfit.
