Berkshire Renegades resign from BAFANL

Berkshire Renegades have withdrawn from the 2015 BAFANL season, with a view to returning in 2016.

No announcement has been made by the club, but the BAFA Facebook page has carried the following statement:

Statement from BAFA: “The British American Football Association can confirm that the Berkshire Renegades have withdrawn from the 2015 SFC Premier. They will work to rejoin the SFC in 2016 in an SFC II division. At present there will be no team promoted to the SFC Premier to replace the Renegades and no team subsequently promoted from SFC II to SFC I. The affected teams have been contacted and the schedule remains under review.”

Berkshire finished the 2014 season in 6th place in the Premiership South with a 3-5 record. The club first formed in 1985, while the current incarnation has been playing since 2005.
