Big Cats In Westminster Palace – Jaguars UK Visit With All Party Parliamentary Group for American Football

The All-Party Parliamentary American Football Group will next Monday (29 October) welcome representatives of Jacksonville Jaguars to Parliament, and hear about the club’s work to develop the sport both in the UK and USA.

At the meeting, Members of Parliament, Peers and non-Parliamentary Members will hear from Hussain Naqi, Jacksonville Jaguars Senior Vice-President for International Development.

The Jaguars play Philadelphia Eagles at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 28 October, the sixth match that the club has played in the UK since 2013. The first NFL game was played in London in 2007.

All-Party Parliamentary American Football Group Chair and Member of Parliament for Wellingborough, Peter Bone MP, said,

“The Group is delighted to be welcoming Hussain to Parliament, and we are excited to hear more about the work that Jacksonville Jaguars are doing to develop American football, particularly in the UK.”

Hussain added

“I am looking forward to meeting with Members of the All-Party Parliamentary American Football Group, and discussing our the Jaguars efforts to develop our own brand, as well as the sport more broadly, in the UK.”

The All-Party Parliamentary American Football Group meets in the Palace of Westminster when Parliament is sitting. MPs, Peers and non-Parliamentary Members are welcome to join and take part.
