#BNAs2017 | Coach of the Year 2017 with Jaguars UK

Our annual Coach of the Year award sees some of the most well-respected coaches in the #BritballNation contending for recognition alongside some of the rising stars in the British game.

As last year, there was some real passion in these nominations, emphasising the ability of great coaches to inspire those around them.

We recieved more than 60 nominations in this category, so our hearty congratulations to all those who were nominated by their players or colleagues – the comments shared with us do credit to you all. While we’ve done something of an extended shortlist process for this award, it’s apparent there’s simply too many awesome Britball coaches for us to mention you all!

As with last year’s award, the #BNAs2017 The Coach of the Year Award is brought to you thanks to the support of  Jaguars UK, as part of their mission to assist with the growth of the game in the UK.

Since their ‘move’ to the UK, as an annual feature of the NFL’s International Series, the Jaguars have striven to not only win the hearts of the UK NFL Audience as the UK’s own NFL team, but also win the minds of athletes, young and old, by sharing the awesomeness of American Football with the British sporting communities.

In their commitment to contributing to the growth of the game in the UK, the Jaguars have hosted events and schemes across the country – be that their ‘Jag Tag’ events in and around London, where they’ve inspired hundreds of school children to get involved in American Football from a young age; their highly successful Camp and Academy weekend, which saw dozens of Britball coaches and players alike have the opportunity to upgrade their skillset under the tutelage of current and former NFL players and coaches; or the Jaguars Se7ens Cup, which saw phenomenal growth this year, in no small part due to the incredible prize on offer, that’ll now see a number of Britballers take a trip to Super Bowl LII!!!

Continuing this trend of awesome prizes, this year’s Coach of the Year Award offering from the Jags will allow the winning coach an immediate opportunity to gain insights into the top level of American Football coaching, as the victor will receive two tickets to the Jaguars UK Coaching Academy later this year, as well as sideline access during the Jags’ Wembley fixture this autumn!
