#BNAs2017 | Nation Nomination Awards

This covers some of the biggies – where we’ll be looking for the BritballNation to step up and nominate individuals, teams, or entire rosters who they think have stood out this year.

We’ll supply criteria for each category, and you simply fill in our online form ahead of the deadline, before this is referred to a panel of both DC Staff and well-respected members of the Britball Community to shortlist and select the winners.

Many of these Awards, especially those looking at the performance/achievements of individuals through 2017, we’re hoping will come with prizes… (if you or your business would like to support these awards? Get in touch!)

Team of the Year With EP Sports

Many teams have had a great year in 2017, but who’s had the best of all?

We should stress, when we say ‘team’, we’re talking just that – the coaches, training staff, physios, players, and game day staff that stand on the sideline together at kickoff!

A programme might have multiple teams (Youth, Adult, Women’s, etc.) so we’re looking for the particular group of Ballers who have balled out each and every game day.

You don’t have to have won a championship, but it certainly won’t hurt your chances!

We want to hear about the teams that surpassed expectations, built bonds that will last a lifetime, and ultimately put the work in to achieve something special on the gridiron.

We welcome nominees from all BAFA-sanctioned formats of the game: i.e. Cadets, Youth, Junior, Women’s, University, Adult, Flag.

How to submit your nomination:

You can submit your nomination via the Google Form at: https://goo.gl/forms/CpZfBKZBtMJjkT7i1

Make sure you complete as many sections of the form as you are able to, and provide links to any content that cannot be included – i.e. highlight videos, press releases, etc.

Please remember only information/accomplishments from 2017 are considered when looking at nominees.

Deadline for nominations is 23:59 GMT on 31/12/2017

Prize Information

£100 of store credit with EP Sports to assist swagging out your team in whatever way you see fit!

Coach of the Year with Jaguars UK

The NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars are committed to the growth of the game in the UK, holding training camps, starting their Academy, hosting the Se7ens Cup, and so much more.

This year’s award is brought to you by JaguarsUK, and as such the winner of this year’s Coach of the Year award, on top of all the other opportunities the Jags will be bringing to our shores in 2017, will have an exclusive opportunity to meet and learn from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ coaching staff – rare insights into the goings on behind an NFL franchise.

A good coach knows football, a great coach knows their players.

As such we’re looking for the tutor of the game who knows how to get the best out those they coach, whose passion for the game is so great they ignite it in those around you.

We’re not just looking for success on the field, as winning is only one measure of what makes a truly great mentor in this game – not that a trophy or two in 2017 will hurt your chances!

Coaches are very welcome to nominate themselves, however we’re expecting most nominations to come from players/colleagues. As such, multiple nominations for the same candidate are likely, and indeed encouraged as they speak to the nominee’s ability to aid the football development of all those around them.

Positional coaches, coordinators, etc, are just as valid nominees as Head Coaches as not all heroes wear headsets!

We welcome nominees from all BAFA-sanctioned formats of the game: i.e. Cadets, Youth, Junior, Women’s, University, Adult, Flag.

How to submit your nomination:

You can submit your nomination via the Google Form at: https://goo.gl/forms/zu4rHwVTJtKHZ7oi2

Prize Information

Two Tickets to the 2018 Jaguars UK Coaching Academy, along with two Sideline passes for the Jaguar’s 2018 Wembley fixture.

Player of the Year

For the individual who has balled out above and beyond the call of duty in 2017!

Obviously the primary determining factor in choosing the recipient of this award will be their play on the field itself – so make sure you include accounts of your chosen nominee’s contributions on game day!

We’re talking about things like:

  • Details of where/when they’ve played in 2017
  • Game day stats if they’re available
  • Video highlight reels to show off your big plays
  • Quotes from team mates & coaches
  • Anything else you think relevant to their claim to being THE top player in the Britball Nation through 2017

And if they happen to also be a good Samaritan who rescues puppies from fires in their day off? It won’t hurt to mention their off-field activities too!

We welcome nominees from all BAFA-sanctioned formats of the game: i.e. Cadets, Youth, Junior, Women’s, University, Adult, Flag.

Should there sufficient nominations to warrant it, this award will be broken down by format – Adult, Women’s, University, and Cadet/Youth/Junior.
