Britball Abroad | Jack Brennan signs with Wasa Royals

Jack Brennan, of the London Olympians and Leeds University Gryphons, is Finland-bound after the Gryphons shared he has been signed to the Maple League’s Wasa Royals for the 2019 season.

Finland is home to some of the highest-level football in Europe, and Brennan will be playing alongside the likes of Marc Millan, a former linebacker for Idaho University in the NCAA Divison 1 FCS.

Brennan sees it as an opportunity to fulfil his potential in football and “find out what I’m made of”.

Launching in 2019, our Britball Abroad blog series will seek to track British ballers as they take exciting steps in their Football Journeys – choosing to play abroad, both in the various semi-pro European leagues, or stateside, perhaps with their sights set on the pinnacle of the sport: a career in the NFL!
