Britball Graduates having a huge impact in Texas!

Lead by senior Tom Samonig (recently named a captain) the PRIDE has three graduates making a large impact at Austin College playing NCAA D3 Football.

Samonig becomes the PRIDE’s first player to be named a captain stateside in the NCAA, from the 20 former players that have made the jump.  Samonig is the first international captain Austin College has ever had – quite the shake up considering the College has been around since 1890!

Samonig, a captain at the PRIDE, was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll this year, along with Josh Keys another PRIDE graduate, who was also a captain at SGS College.

Keys joined Austin College a year after Samonig as a Tight End and was then joined the following year by star Quarterback Tom Clancy who quickly made the switch to Receiver at Austin College.

In his freshman year last season Clancy amassed nearly 1000 receiving yards and was named to the ALL SCAC Team.

Not bad for a couple of British kids.
