British Super Bowl Winner Jay Ajayi Placed On Injured Reserve

London’s Jay Ajayi, who hoisted the Lombardi Trophy last year with the Philadelphia¬†Eagles, has been placed on injured reserves following a torn left ACL.

The news follows a hard-fought start to the season for the reigning Super Bowl champs and is a devastating blow to British NFL fans who were looking forward to seeing the London-born athlete in action for a second international series in a row in three weeks time – Ajayi participated in last year’s International Series as a member of the Miami Dolphins team who took on the New Orleans Saints at Wembley last year.

Ajayi had shown great toughness thus far into the season, playing with a broken bone in his back and enduring the pain as the Eagles built up to a blockbuster game against a strong Jacksonville Jaguars team that consider Wembley Stadium their second home.

Still, expectations are Ayaji may still travel with the Eagles when they head across to the UK ahead of their 28 October matchup, so keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to meet the British star in the Big league in the days building up to the game.
