BUCS Confirms Division One Semi-Finals

Though the fixtures list initially displayed the NTU Renegades as hosts of the northern bracket’s Semi-Final fixture, BUCScore is now up to date and correctly displaying the Renegades travelling to the Coventry Jets this weekend, while upset-maestros, the Exeter Demons, will travel the breadth of Britain to take on the UEA Pirates!

Though for much of Monday the BUCScore brackets were displaying the Nottingham outfit, who impressed once again at the weekend with an upset defeat of the #1 seeded Hallam Warriors, as hosts of the fixture based on the BUCScore website built-in bracketing, the fixture list was correctly updated to show the #4 seeded Coventry Jets as hosts of the Northern regional final.

Though the Jets will come in as higher seeds, it’s worth noting this isn’t the Renegades’ first rodeo – having won promotion to the top tier only a few seasons ago. Still, Coventry can make history if they can make it back-to-back promotions with a win at the weekend.

In the south, we spy one amendment from the score we initially shared – BUCScore is showing the UEA Pirates’ win on Sunday as a 17-0 victory over the Killer Bees, as opposed to theĀ 14-0 we had seen the teams report on social media.

The Pirates will play hosts to an Exeter Demons outfit that continue to impress with a second-straight upset victory over a higher seeded team, this time taking a win away from a Southampton Stags side they had come up short against twice in the regular season!
