BUCS Confirms National Championship Final Format

BUCScore has today confirmed the teams and nominal ‘home’ outfit for this season’s British University finals!

Premiership North runners-up, Leeds Beckett Carnegie, will be ‘hosts’ in their first ever National Championship appearance, welcoming the Hertfordshire Hurricanes to Loughborough University on Sunday 31 March.

Leeds might be somewhat frustrated to see the BUCS finals move away from their home city this year, as they make their finals debut in just their second season in the top tier, but the Hurricanes will likely be somewhat relieved with the slightly shorter trip as they return to the Championship game after a three-season hiatus.

The Hurricanes are no strangers to a ‘College Bowl’ appearance, currently tied with the Birmingham Lions as the most successful team in Uniball with six National Championships from eight Finals appearances.
