BUCS Finals confirmed on whirlwind afternoon

It will be #BackToBack against #QuestForSix in the BUCS National Championship game after Stirling and Hertfordshire saw off Birmingham and Durham respectively on Sunday.

Both number one seeds were dumped out of the play-offs in an afternoon of high drama, with the Clansmen pulling away in the second half to defeat the Lions 35-13, and the Hurricanes holding on to a 19-14 win over the Saints.

In Division One, Sheffield Hallam will play Glasgow in the Northern Area Final, while Surrey will take on Kingston in the Southern Area Final.

The Warriors defeated NTU 24-13 to book their place in the final, while the Tigers cruised to a 35-12 win over Tarannau Aberystwyth in the other semi. There were lower scoring affairs in the south, with the Stingers shutting out Cambridge for a 12-0 victory, and the Cougars holding on to defeat last year’s plate winners Swansea Titans 12-6 to complete the final line-up
