DC Launch GoFundMe Campaign To Take The Next Step In Growing The Game

This past Sunday, while streaming live coverage of the BUCS Division One and Premiership National Championship games, Double Coverage launched a crowdfunding campaign, with the goal of raising funds to enhance their ability to promote the British game.

Over the past six months we’ve made some big changes here at DC, not only updating and upgrading the site, but expanding the ways we cover the game, the amount of content we’re able to bring you, and the different formats and events we’re able to share with you all.

So far as we’re concerned, this is only the very beginning. We’ve got so many more plans of further ways we want to both show off and add to all the wonderful things going on in our sport’s community – but the reality is? We’re going to need your help to get there.

We’ve gone from producing maybe three pieces of content per week, to averaging about three pieces of original content a day during the height of the season – and even that’s not truly enough to keep track of everything that’s going on around our sport and our community.

Everything we produce is accessible completely free of charge, and created by the hard work of those with a passion for the game – and we’re not looking for that to change any time soon.

However, if we want to keep it going, or even, ideally, expand into new content, more exciting in depth coverage and promotion of the game, we need your help.

We know this sport is far from well-funded, and we’re not looking to become internet millionaires any time soon – we just want to be able to keep working towards the growth of the game.

We’ve worked hard to improve our coverage, and we know from the many kind words of thanks we’ve received over recent months that many of you really do appreciate the effort we’ve put in.

Ok, now maybe not everyone’s the biggest fan of Double Coverage, we know we’ve rubbed people the wrong way over years, but we’d also like to think we’ve gotten to know many of you a bit better in recent months as we’ve headed out across the Nation and we’re pretty sure that those of you that have given us a chance? Have seen that the core of DC and our ever-expanding team is a true love of the British game.

All that said, the stark reality is we’re reaching a point where there comes a choice between Double Coverage, and zero coverage.

We want to keep doing what we do. Hells, we want to do more of it! And so if you want the same we’d ask you to head to gofundme.com/dblcoverage. There, you’ll see we’ve shared the hopes, goals and plans that we have for the site, and for the sport in general, and if you think they’re something you can get behind?

Well, we’d really appreciate if you can chip in whatever you can afford to allow DC to take that next step forwards in our coverage of the game.
