Division Two Postseason Fixtures!

The Regular Season is finally complete across all tiers and formats of the British game!

We finally know who wears each conference crown and next weekend we’ll see the Division Two postseason get underway with a whopping sixteen teams across the two regional competitions heading to some playoff balling!

We knew who all but two of postseason programmes would be ahead of this weekend, but there was still a lot of room for risers and fallers – which is exactly how it played out!

So, at last, after months and months of balling, let’s see which teams are headed to the Division Two playoffs!

Northern Playoffs

#1 Shropshire Revolution (1st, 1.000, 8.0 PAPG) vs #8 Morecambe Bay Storm (3rd, 0.550, 30.0 PAPG)

#2 Leeds Bobcats (1st, 1.000, 10.01 PAPG) vs #7 Staffordshire Surge (3rd, 0.600, 18.3 PAPG)

#3 Glasgow Tigers (1st, 0.889, 5.33 PAPG) vs #6 Aberdeen Roughnecks (2nd, 0.563, 19.13 PAPG)

#4 Gateshead Senators (2nd, 0.900, 11.1 PAPG) vs #5 Chester Romans (2nd, 0.700, 12.2 PAPG)

The Lincolnshire Bombers missed out on postseason football due to a single point in their head to head vs Staffordshire Surge – but still one helluva turn around for a team that struggled mightily last year!

Southern Playoffs

#1 Wembley Stallions (1st, 1.000, 6.3 PAPG) vs #8 Hertfordshire Cheetahs (3rd, 0.700, 12.66 PAPG)

#2 Bristol Apache (1st, 1.000, 10.7 PAPG) vs #7 Swindon Storm (3rd, 0.700, 11.2 PAPG)

#3 Berkshire Renegades (1st, 0.900, 11.2 PAPG) vs #6 East Kent Mavericks (2nd, 0.700, 16.8 PAPG)

#4 Portsmouth Dreadnoughts (2nd, 0.800, 9.7) vs #5 Cornish Sharks (2nd, 0.700, 10.5 PAPG)

Wins for the Sharks and the Storm over the weekend mean that, even were the Essex Spartans to find a way to complete their postponed Essex Derby fixture, there’s no longer a way for them to snatch a postseason spot. Meanwhile, the Herts Cheetahs who held the #1 seed for much of the season limp into playoffs in the #8 berth off the back of three straight losses to round out the year – trouble for the early favourites to return to Div One balling?
