Essex Blades Slice Their Way To Div 1 Football With 2A South East Title!

The Essex Blades will be playing their football in the middle tier next year, after their victory over the ARU Rhinos extended their winning streak to five-straight and ensured they’re are uncatchable at the top of the 2A South East, with a fixture against UEL still to play out.

The Blades have been a cut above the competition all season long, boasting an average win margin of more than 25 points through their five fixtures, with Sunday’s game against ARU the first time all season they’ve allowed multiple scores from their opponents.

Their 22 points conceded thus far means they’re currently sat in the #1 seed in the south, which has all the more meaning in Division Two as, should the Blades keep on winning, they’d see home football all the way to the Division Two South Final!

The Blades wrap up their regular season this Sunday 11 Feb, travelling to the UEL Phoenix.

Congratulations Essex, securing the club’s second-ever conference title!
