Etone Jaguars Seniors Up and Running and Looking for Opponents

The Etone Jaguars American Football Academy are happy to announce they have been granted the Associate status to the BAFA National Leagues, and thus can start to look for opponents to for fill their Associate Schedule of the required three home and two away games during the 2019 season.

The requirements for these fixtures are as follows:

  • Games must be played on a Saturday
  • require a full BAFRA crew to officiate and,
  • Have a BAFA assessor at the fixture to dot the I’s and cross the T’s.

The Jaguars have already accepted a mid-season game with the Oxford Saints who will travel to Nuneaton in early June to give their own squad depth a run-out and help the Jags fulfil one of their required home fixtures.

A second fixture with the only other associate team to be granted status and allowed to look and accept fixtures is in the process of date setting with a pending trip to the Hereford Stampede.

Jaguars Chairman Lawrence Grugeon commented,

“Our team of dedicated backroom staff, coaches and players have been preparing since early October so we can get a jump start and prove ourselves worthy of league entry in 2020.

The process to get to this stage has been long but we are finally set and ready for action.”
