Good Week / Bad Week: BUCS 15/16 – Playoffs Round 2

Good Week

1. LJMU Fury

Boom! The Knights were tipped by many but the Fury dispatched their opponents in one of the more convincing victories this playoff weekend. If you want to stop the Fury you are going to have to stop Laurent Tshiminga who racked up a hat-trick of rushing TDs this past Sunday.

2. Portsmouth Destroyers

The Destroyers Bulldozed the Plymouth Blitz 38-3 converting long touchdown after long touchdown against a Blitz team severely lacking at the quarterback position. In their two games without QB Fen Trudgian the Blitz are 0-2 to the tune of 10 points scored, 69 conceded. With this convincing win Pompey are surely favourites to be crowned Division Two South champions.

3. The Re-Match

The Birmingham Lions against the Stirling Clansmen, back in 13/14, was one of the more physical finals we have seen in recent years. Both teams dominated the score board on the way to the ‘Big Boys Bowl’ and with the Lions having a point to prove the two best teams in BUCS face off again!
