Good Week/Bad Week – BUCS Week Nine

Another week of #Uniball in the books, and plenty of points scored up and down the country following a hugely entertaining weekend of action. It’s time for Good Week/Bad Week!

Honourable mentions;

  • Edinburgh Napier Knights own the bragging rights over the Predators following a nailbiting 14-13 win.
  • Withvictory over the Pirates, a win for Cambridge Pythons over the Immortals will seal the 1A South East.
  • Showing up our predictors again, Hull Sharks come away from Northumbria with the win and a 5-1 record.
  • Lancaster Bombers seal their first win of the season with a road victory over Teeside.

Back in November, the Warriors put the Sabres to the sword with a dominant 14-49 road win. This past weekend, Hallam showed absolutely no mercy as they crushed their Steel City rivals 75-12. QB Dutch Stephenson came out of the game early in the second half, but not before racking up 6 scores through the air.

Following a second close win over Exeter Demons (both victories coming by 3-points or under), the 6-0 Cobras are officially 1A South West champions! Scott Higgins came up big in the game, hauling in both scores for Cardiff, whose goal now will be to finish the regular season undefeated before venturing in to the post-season.

The Redhawks put an end to a 4-game skid with a thumping of Oxford Lancers. Averaging a little over 11 PPG over the last three fixtures, Solent’s offense came out firing against Oxford. For a defense that conceded the fewest number of points since the opening game of the season, it was fitting the game ended with a pick-6.
