Good Week/Bad Week – BUCS Week Three

Another Uniball week in the books. Blowouts, shutouts and coaches standing on the opposition’s sideline…wait, what? It’s Good Week/Bad Week!

Honourable mentions;

  • In their debut under the new guise, Leeds Gryphons dumped an unanswered 50-burger on Chester.
  • Hull Sharks continue to dominate the 1A North with a 35-0 win over Sunderland.
  • Two wins, two shutouts for Bangor Muddogs following the 35-0 road win over Keele.

Hertfordshire Hurricanes LHertfordshire Hurricanes

Two games, two wins for the ‘Canes. Sure, they’ve only come up against Bath to date, but taking in to consideration the Killer Bees’ xpLosION heroics, this could have been a banana skin for Hertfordshire. A trip to Birmingham in a fortnight awaits, with victory giving Herts control of the division.

Imperial Immortals LImperial Immortals

Imperial win! Imperial win! Imperial win! The Immortals snapped a 12 game losing streak with a 14-0 win over UEA Pirates on Sunday. A much needed, morale boosting win for Imperial, who will look to kick on and take advantage of a poor start to the season for RHUL when the sides face each other this coming weekend.

lincoln-colonials-lLincoln Colonials

The Colonials must be considered the early favourites for the 2A Midlands crown. A 42-0 win over Northampton at the weekend sees Lincoln improve to 2-0, with 70 points scored already. Can anyone challenge the Colonials? Look to the road game against Coventry for the answer. Before then though, a trip to MMU Eagles awaits.
