Heriot-Watt announce coaching change

On the eve of the uniball season Heriot-Watt have announced a change to their Head Coach as Don Edmonston steps down.

Also the Adult Premiership’s Edinburgh Wolves Head Coach, ‘Big Don’ laid down the structure and set up at Heriot Watt working with their Sports Union to establish a team at the university, entering the BUCS league in 2015.

Whilst Coach Paul Poppa held the reins in their inaugural year, Edmonston was ever-present on the sidelines at games and at practice.

When Poppa resigned after the 2016 season, Edmonston stepped in to take the reins of the team and guided them to the Division Two playoffs in just their second season in the BUCS structure with a 4-2 record, before losing in the first round to the Leeds Gryphons.
