Hurricanes New Head Coach – Franco Arellanos to lead Uniball Powerhouse

Coach Franco Arellanos will head up the five-time National Champion Hertfordshire Hurricanes’ coaching roster heading into their 2019/20 BUCS campaign.

Coach Arellanos brings a wealth of international coaching experience into the role, replacing Britball legend Simon Hatcher as Head Coach for the Prem South side. The globe-trotting veteran brings over 25 years of coaching with him, including work in American High Schools and Colleges, professional and semi-pro football in Europe (including NFL Europe) and has worked with range of top Britball programmes including the Warriors and Olympians, as well as regularly collaborating with the NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars and Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy.

As the Hurricanes look to 2019/20, they’ll be eager to once again pull ahead of the pack with an unprecedented sixth University title and it will be interesting to see what Coach Arellanos brings to the historic southern powerhouse programme in an age where we’re seeing more and more international-scholarship stars seemingly playing key roles in taking the top spot in the BUCS leagues.
