Imperial Immortals seek to continue success with expansion of coaching staff

In our first year in Division 1A South the Immortals finished the season as Conference Champions and we are looking to take this further next year. Having reached the semi final this year our objective for this year will be to gain promotion back to the Premiership South.

However, it is with regret that we announce that our Head Coach James Mackay has had to step down. Coach James has been vital to the formation of the Immortals transforming them from an 0-8 team to 8-0 London Conference Champions in 2014.

However, the team has been left in good hands with Coach Spenser Horsey. Coach Spencer has progressed from OL coach to OC and assistant HC in his time under Coach James and will be assuming the role of HC this season. Replacing him as OC will Coach Ben Heath, Ben joined us last year as a WR coach and had an instrumental impact on the offence. Where he showed tremendous commitment, and bought much needed discipline.

With the reshuffle of coaches, we are looking for a Defensive Coordinator as well as a range of positional coaches on both sides of the ball.

It is important to note that we are looking to recruit coaches at all ends of the spectrum, whether you’re looking for your first coaching role and the opportunity to obtain a Level 1 qualification, or already have substantial coaching experience.

We have a close knit team with a great deal of determination and we ask that the coaches share our passion to enable us to reach our full potential.

Many thanks,

Harry Lawrence, Imperial Immortals AFC President
