The New ‘Nuneaton Jaguars American Football Club’ are happy to unveil their new logo and name ahead of their weekends Annual Awards Day.

Founder, Chairman and Head Coach Lawrence Grugeon commented:

“The name Etone has represented us well over the last 3 years and much thanks goes out to Etone College & Secondary School and their Head of P.E Mr.Petch who helped enormously get the club off the ground in it’s initial stages. I cannot thank the establishment enough and hope we have carried the name well for them during that span.”

2019 has been the most successful year to date for the Jaguars, with no-less than 3 age groups making their respective National Finals weekends, being represented in 2 National Championship Games at U12 and U17 level and coming out winners of one as the club claimed the U17 Youth Contact National Plate Championship back in August.

To add to that no team representing the Jaguars finished with a losing record which gives credit to all the young men, women, coaches and volunteers who have represented the Jaguars over the course of the season.

With this in mind it was carried and agreed by the British American Football Association (BAFA) to change the clubs name to ‘Nuneaton Jaguars AFC’ for the start of the new league year to better represent the whole of our local community and be proud of the town the club are based.

The Jaguars will also be moving all Cadet & Youth training to Ambleside Sports & Social Club, Ambleside Way, Nuneaton CV11 6AT on Saturday Mornings starting with two taster sessions in October that are free to attend for anyone who would like to give American Football a try.
