#Joy4Joel – Hull Sharks Welcome New Captain Onto The Field On Sunday

DC’s sexy pick of this Uniball season so far, the Hull Sharks got in touch to tell us about a great cause they’ll be supporting this weekend… Which in our eyes has made them an even sexier pick.

Per the University of Hull Sharks:

A young Hull lad called Joel will be joining us at tomorrow’s game, and will be coming on the field at the start to be an honorary captain. He’s 5 years old and is suffering from a terminal disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

We’ll be trying to organise a few events throughout the coming year to raise money for a charity for Joel, which will go to equipment and help for him; as well as research into Muscular Dystrophy.

It would be massively appreciated if you could all give the page a like Joy for Joel and check out the website: http://www.joyforjoel.co.uk/

I know money is tight around this time of year, but if you text ‘LFK Joel’ to 70300, it gives £3 to the charity. That’s about the price of a pint, and it could make a difference to the time that Joel has left.

– Gareth Wild, Head Coach

Joy For Joel have released the following video to help you learn more about Joel, and Joel’s condition. Might wanna have a hankie handy though, it’s a tearjerker!
