Following the departure of Nate Wilson at the end of the Cougars’ 2017/18 Conference-Winning season, the Cougars have announced Defensive Coordinator Junior Hayden as Head Coach ahead of the BUCS 2018/19 campaign

Per Kingson Cougars’ Facebook page:

Kingston Cougars are proud to announce that Defensive Coordinator, Junior Hayden, will be their new Head Coach ahead of the 2018/2019 BUCS season.

Hayden initially joined the Cougars coaching team for the 2016/2017 season as the Defensive Backs Coach, after previously coaching at London Warriors Junior/Youth Programme and Cobham Cougars. For the 2017/2018 season he moved up to become Defensive Coordinator, and now steps into the position which was previously filled by Nate Wilson.

Coach Hayden has released a statement saying

“I’m very honoured to be Head Coach of the Kingston Cougars, and know there’s a lot to do to maintain the high level of football achieved in the club’s history. Following on from Nate Wilson will not be an easy task. His hard work over the past few years, has made the club what it is today. I just hope we can go one better this season and get back to the premiership.”
