Kingston Cougars Begin Hunt For New Head Coach

Kingston University is looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Coach to lead and deliver our high performing American Football Programme.

Kingston Cougars has a history of performing well in the BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) Leagues and has ambitions to return to the Premier League from its current position in 1A.

We are looking for a coach with experience of delivering a university programme to join the Kingston Cougars.

Coaching days and times

Session Day Time
Practice Thursday 19:00pm-21:00pm
Chalkboard Weekday evening (availability dependent)
Games Sunday 11am onwards

 

Experience and Criteria

Experience needed Essential Desirable
Create and deliver  drills for practice and pre-game prep

 
Evaluate opposition scout footage

 

Recruit and manage a team of volunteer coaches, based on squad needs  

Provide and share tactical knowledge

 
Devise and install an offensive/defensive/special teams playbook

 
Provide a professional approach to managing student athletes

 
Offer support and advice to committee members  

Ability to work with student club committee members
Knowledge of how a Union works
Deliver chalkboard sessions to squad members
