LBU Carnegie Women’s Team Rebrands As Leeds Carnegie Chargers

The Carnegie American Football Women’s team, affiliated with Leeds Beckett University, have announced their rebranding as the Leeds Carnegie Chargers!

Complete with a new logo that appears to feature the angriest my little pony ever seen, the rebrand highlights the programme’s growth towards national prominence – with Leeds represented this past weekend by SIX of their players on the GB roster:

  • Gabrielle Knops – Running Back
  • Olivia Dalby-Naylor – Wide Receiver
  • Ellie Prendergast – Offensive Line
  • Lisa Thomas – Defensive Line
  • Robyn Jade Steward – Linebacker
  • Joanne Mann –Defensive Back

With Carnegie players slotting in at almost every position and tied with Hertfordshire Hurricanes for the second-most represented programme on the National Roster (behind only the Birmingham Lions), it’s clear this is a programme on the rise!
