Leeds Gryphons Fly Right Back To Div One Football With Undefeated 2A North Title!

The Leeds Gryphons secured a swift return to Division One football, following relegation at the end of last season, courtesy of a decisive 0-32 victory over the Edge Hill Vikings in Week Eleven.

This, combined with a walkover victory awarded over the Bradford Bears this week means the Gryphons have completed an undefeated, and in truth largely uncontested, 6-0 title campaign, and will once again be mixing it up in the middle tier next year against their familiar opponents in the 1A Yorkshire & Lancashire conference.

The Gryphons were frustrated to find themselves relegated at the end of their 17/18 campaign, as the team seemed to be finding its form towards the end of the season with two victories following the midseason break, having gone into the holidays without a win to their name.

However, roll forwards to this season, and the Gryphons have proven themselves to be a clear cut above their competition in the 2A North, with an average scoreline across their five fixtures of 44-01, and the #1 ranked offence and defence in Division Two!
