Manchester Titans expand academy

Not content with having one of the best club set-ups across the whole of the BAFA National Leagues, the Titans announced this week that they are expanding at Youth contact level and below.

The latest growth sees the the creation of three new teams based in North Manchester.

Based in Blackley, 8-12 Flag led by Kal Moffatt and 12-14 Flag led by Robert Duck. Both Kal and Robert played Junior (U19) ‘ball for the Titans in 2016, and are taking their first steps in to coaching as the club continues it”s policy of developing within.

The expansion also sees the formation of a second Youth (U17) Contact side, led by Caleb Jackson – one time Chairman of the Derby Braves, and longtime member of the #BritballNation. This second Youth side will begin training in January and will enter National BAFA competitions for the 2017 season.

Titans’ Chairman Jonathan Homer said “I am delighted that we are able to expand our offering to more young people in Manchester. In Caleb we have a committed and ambitious leader who is the perfect person to deliver our values and goals for American Football in Manchester”.

The new teams will compete as Manchester Titans North, with the existing teams at U17 and U12 level competing as Manchester Titans South
