After a season away traveling the Black Country for a home stadium, the Steelers returned to Tipton Sports Academy to face the Nottingham Caesars on Easter Sunday.
The first score of what would be an explosive first half went to the star of last weeks game against Doncaster, WR Alex Salter, who went over 60 yards through the Nottingham defence for the touchdown, followed by a heard of teammates.
Not everything went through the air though as they managed TDs on the ground from RB Raph Chisholm and RB Eddie.
The defence proved just as dominant as the Defensive line behind the likes of DT Adam Bates and DE Martin Perry provided the pressure that kept Nottingham’s QB on the back foot and a 0 on the scoreboard.
With 35 points on the board by half time, it was an opportunity to provide reps through the depth chart with QB Oscar Russell leading another short touchdown drive after outstanding work by Punter Gareth Thomas and DB Andy Wilson led to a turnover for the Punt unit.
