Minnesota bound! Yet more Lions Ladies head to the US (But this time to celebrate!)

The Birmingham Lions are no strangers to seeing some of their ballers head overseas, as the 18/19 Sapphire Series Champs and women’s game groundbreakers have exported their talents to the Finnish Maple Leagues, and most recently saw their star speedster, Ruth Matta, declared a First Team All-American in the Women’s Football Alliance following an incredible season with the Boston Renegades.

However, the Lions’ latest export is something a little different as at their end of season Awards, supported by their recently announced sponsor, Ricor, the couple at the head of this global manufacturing company, Dave and Anne Johansen, offered up an incredible prize for this years Lions of the Year award winners:

An awesome trip across the pond with flights and accommodation all sorted to make use of the couple’s Minnesota Vikings 50yd line season tickets for any Vikings’ game during the NFC North outfit’s 2019/20 season!!

This year’s worthy winners were Lead Sports Therapist¬†Pups Kaur and standout Linebacker¬†Caley Parnell!

The awards evening¬† capped off yet another year stacked with successes for the Lions, including yet another Sapphire Series title, as well as their groundbreaking progress in the development of the 11-a-side international women’s game, as they followed up their Sapphire success with a trip to Sweden to take on the Arlanda Jets, and also announced their participation in the next iteration of the Transatlantic Trophy tournament that the Lions founded in 2018.
