Napier Knights Announce Expansion to U19s for 2020

Despite a setback, having been the victim of a terrible act of vandalism to their changing and storage facilities, following the success of their inaugural BAFA Youth campaign Edinburgh Napier Knights are pleased to announce they will be expanding into U19 junior football this season!

The intention for the club will be to compete in Division Two Junior football whilst the club establishes itself at the U19 level with the long term goal to make the jump to the 9 man format of the game in Division One.

The club will be hosting tryouts on Saturday 5th October for players aged 8-18 all the event info can be found in the link below.

‘It’s a great move for the club. We were really fortunate to have a really strong momentum from our recent youth graduating players and their parents it seemed like the next natural step in the clubs development and expansion. We have made some really great additions to our coaching staff in order to cope with the influx of players that we will be undertaking and our staff are extremely excited about the new challenges junior football brings.

I’m personally looking forward to seeing junior football back in Edinburgh and how the club will continue to grow this season we’ve had a few of our guys at both levels of the club receive invites to the GBu19 and u17 tryouts so we hope to continue developing talent that can compete at the next stage’ – Sam Stoddart GM/ Youth HC

Tryouts for the club will be held at Sighthill Public Park, Edinburgh on Saturday 5th October 1000-1200. All the info can be found on the Facebook event
