The West Coast Trojans have made the tough decision to withdraw from their Week Thirteen fixture versus the Dumfries Hunters this Sunday, due to a lack of available players to make the trip.
Despite having struggled for numbers throughout the season, the forfeit is the Trojans’ first this year. West Coast suffered a number of key injuries this weekend in their fixture versus the table-topping Aberdeen Roughnecks which forced the side to call the fixture during the third quarter, but hopes are that a couple of weeks without a game will allow the Trojans to recover sufficient ballers to return to action in Week Fifteen, once again against the Roughnecks.
The team shared the following statement with DblCoverage.com:
“Due to the loss of key players from Sun hard game in Aberdeen our squad numbers are too low for us to complete this weeks fixture.
We hope the two week break will allow us to regroup and complete the remaining fixtures.”
