Opportunities for coaches at Hertfordshire Hurricanes

The Hertfordshire Hurricanes are looking to add to their coaching staff ahead of the 2018/19 BUCS season:

We are a successful team playing in the BUCS Premiership division. If you are an experienced coach or looking to start in coaching, we would like to talk with you.

We train three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) with an above 95% player attendance rate. So, you will have a real opportunity to develop the players.

Players range from never seen the sport to very experienced, so adaptability is essential.

We train on 4g marked field and have a wide selection of field equipment, classroom facilities and HUDL film facility. We film every practice, and games, and have a strength and conditioning programme managed by the University S&C team. The team is supported by our strong Physio team, who take care of injuries and rehabilitation, reporting back to coaches on player status

We train hard, and with enthusiasm, and respect everyone’s time. We start on time and finish on time, and the committee and AU takes care of the off-field details, allowing coaches to coach and develop the players.

If you are interested, please contact Head Coach Simon Hatcher for an informal talk about your interest and any questions you have about the team. If you are only able to offer a small amount of time, or you are “all in” we can find a place for coaches with the right characteristics.
