Pirates and Jaguars Celebrate Successful JagTag Launch

The Jacksonville Jaguars made their biggest stride across the nation this past week as they launched a new expansion of their JagTag programme in Scotland, partnering up with Scotland’s largest American Football programme, the East Kilbride Pirates!

The Jags and Pirates kicked things off with a massive launch event on Tuesday, as East Kilbride’s extensive roster of U17/U19 Coaches, along with some additions from their currently undefeated Adult roster worked with some of the Jag’s great JagTag coaches to introduce a whole new generation of ballers to American Football.

Coach Andy Scott, Senior JagTag Coach with Jaguars UK, told DblCoverage.com:

“What a great event, working with EKP coaches to bring JagTag to Scotland!

We had six schools in South Lanarkshire bring over 170 Key Stage Three kids to one of our biggest launch events, ever.

On field; we were pleased to see that both boys and girls – that have never played our sport before – were picking up the basics of throwing, catching and evading and having a great time!”

The Pirates join theĀ Gateshead Senators andĀ Manchester Titans as teams that have earned the opportunity to bring the NFL Franchise’s introductory, non-contact, version of American Football to school age children from across the nation, as the Jaguars continue to expand their commitment to #GrowTheGame in the UK.
