Pride and Aztecs Alum, Alex Jenkins, Signs with New York Giants

Having spent the past two years with the New Orleans Saints, initially joining the NFL via the league’s International Player Pathway Programme, defensive end Alex Jenkins has signed with the New York Giants.

A natural athlete, Jenkins was a standout from the moment he first put on pads. Having played football (with the round ball) at a high level in the UK during his youth, it became apparent his size and speed could be put to better use in a contact sport, and within weeks of kitting up, he was making plays for the Filton Pride, Bristol Aztecs and at the National Level with the Great British U19s.

Jenkins played for the College of the Incarnate Word for three years, before getting his first taste of NFL action.

This summer, Jenkins will have the opportunity to compete for a spot on the Giants active roster come the autumn.
