Renegades drop highlights of Durham defeat

They may have fallen to a narrow loss in their first game in the Premier North, but that didn’t stop the NTU Renegades producing plenty of highlight reel-worthy plays against Durham Saints.

The Renegades outperformed expectations by pushing the Saints all the way, finishing up just the wrong end of a 28-23 scoreline, with Anthony Veness grabbing two receiving scores either side of a Joe Peers rushing score.

Personal favourite plays – Veness leaving us wondering whether he’d been at the Stickum with his one-hander at 0:20, and Jack Rice coming up big with the pick as the half expires (1:00)
