#Sapphire18 | 03 March Tournaments Voided Due To Weather

Following the cancellation of all five Sapphire 2018 tournaments this weekend, BAFA Women’s Football took the tough decision to void all fixtures that were intended to be played this weekend.

As such, seedings for the National Finals, set to take place 17 March 2018, will be based upon current standings.

Per BAFA Women’s Football:

“Sapphire Series Rounds for 3rd March 2018 – Update:

It became clear today that all games for March 3rd tournaments would have to be suspended due to the inclement weather. Further, after much work between team admins it has been accepted there is no fair and equal way to restage all the games before the Final Rounds, which are due to be played on 17th March.

In discussion with BAFA it has been concluded that the Div 1 Round 4 and Division 2 Round 3 games will ALL be voided from the schedule and play-off rankings for the finals Round on 17th March will now be based on the standing of the teams at this time.”
