State of the Nation – 28 October 2016

It’s so busy around the #BritballNation it’s tough to actually find the time to write a State of the Nation address just to update you on how busy it is!

Everything you need to know about Redskins @ Bengals at Wembley this weekend:

(According to Neil Reynolds and

Both teams are coming into the game in need of a win to keep their season on track. The Redskins are at risk of falling unreachable behind Ezekiel Elliot and the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East, while the Bengals may not have a better chance to reclaim the AFC North crown with both the Steelers and Ravens looking vulnerable (and Browns looking like the Browns) but at 3-4 they’re off the pace.

The whole AFC South is looking rather shaky all of a sudden and in the NFC East might finally be the home of a real contender once again… Should be a great Sunday in the home of the Nation’s other football.

NFL in da house!

If you haven’t signed up for the chance to win exclusive opportunities to access NFL House, London, you’re running out of time!

The fan event provides access to unique NFL displays, merchandise, and chances to meet the NFL players and cheerleaders.

DC snuck in before opening day to take a sneaky peek around, before attending an exclusive screening of the classic NFL Rom Com Jerry Macguire last night #ShowMeTheMoney

East Kilbride look for YOUR votes to enhance opportunities for Britball in South Lanarkshire

The East Kilbride Pirates are one of the top programmes in the #BritballNation, with every aspect of their programme competing on a national level. Their seniors are the pinnacle of Scottish football in the National Leagues, their Juniors hoisted their first Scottish Championship this season and finished runners up at their Britbowl, while the Youth team earned themselves a first ever National Title! Last Saturday saw the Pirates’ women take to the field in the first tournament of the Opal Series, meaning the Pirates can boast one of the most comprehensive programmes in the nation, explaining the desire – nay, need – for funding support such as this to help continue to enhance the region’s contribution to the growth of the British game.

They can’t do this alone however, as only the most-voted-for schemes will be considered for funding – so get over there and vote!

You can vote on the Aviva Fund website, and you can vote up to ten times (for the Pirates)

Giant day for giant Giants Fan and Britballer Jody Demay

Last weekend the Los Angeles Rams and New York Football Giants touched down in the UK and DC were very pleased to be able to send along Britball Legend turned ‘Togger Jody Demay-Davies to take some shots of his beloved Giants at their team training session.

Jody has coached with the NFL and played the sport at some of the highest levels internationally, and has now turned his sharp eye to capturing memories of the game for everyone else.

Psst. Hey you.

Yes, you.

No not them, YOU.

How would you like a chance to work alongside others from across the breadth of the #BritballNation in increasing access to and awareness of the game we all know and love?

There’s been quite a few changes behind the scenes here at DC Towers, and we’re now in a position where we’re looking to open our doors and invite some of you in!
