Surge Seniors Announce New Head Coach

Staffordshire Surge announced earlier this week their appointment of a new Head Coach to take over the role from Coach Jason Smith who regretfully stepped down after the close of a successful playoff-bound season due to excessive travel times.

This Wednesday the Surge announced their decision to raise one of their own to the pinnacle of the programme with the appointment of assistant Offensive Coordinator Anthony Charles as Head Coach for the #Britball17 season.

One of the longest-standing members of Team Surge Coach Charles brings a wealth of experience to the role, including 20 years as the Head Coach of the local Uniball team, the Staffordshire University Stallions.

The move looks likely to only enhance the strong links between the region’s Britball community which is well on its way to becoming a real hub of British American Football.
