Thames Valley Tigers Seek Head Coach

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and creative Head Coach for the Thames Valley Tigers Junior American Football Team.

The Tigers were established in January 2018 as a joint venture between the Berkshire Renegades and Swindon Storm, to allow those players who were graduating from their respective Youth Teams to continue to play organised American Football.

Following the completion of a tough, but character-building inaugural season, the club is looking to appoint a permanent Head Coach who is dedicated to developing themselves alongside the club and its players. We are keen to find someone with, the ability, ambition and determination to build a competitive team from this year’s solid and dedicated core of players. We have set the bar high in terms of our expectations for the Tigers in 2019, and are looking for the right person to take us there.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all football-related activities within the club, including the appointment of their own coordinators, and will receive the support of a dedicated committee with extensive experience of the both the British American Football League and Youth Sport within the United Kingdom.


  • Minimum Level 1 BAFCA Coaching Qualification.
  • Ability to commit to training sessions in Reading and Swindon.
  • Previous coaching experience at junior level or equivalent.
