Thrashers HC Steve Rains Racks Up 200th Career Win vs Dreadnoughts

Solent Thrashers Head Coach Steve Rains earned his 200th League Victory as a Head Coach this past weekend, a testament to the 30 years of Coaching the former Team England Head Coach has given to British American Football.

Through a football career that started as a player for the Isle of Wight Wight Rhinos in 1983, Coach Rains has become an institution of Britball Coaching in the south of England.

A game-changer and groundbreaker through the highs and lows of the British game, Coach Rains’ accolades include a wealth of Divisional Titles, along with a 2004 Britbowl Title as Head Coach of the Pearl Assurance (Farnham) Knights!

Moving on from a long tenure with the Knights in 2016, Coach Rains joined the Solent Thrashers ahead of the 2017 season, with the team thriving under his experienced leadership.

Coach Rains boasts a 23-7-0 record since taking on the top job at the Thrashers, and is currently on track for an undefeated 2019 regular season, as well as among the favourites for promotion to Premiership football this summer.
