#TuesdayTally – Week Eighteen: Final Results

It’s over. For some, a gruelling season filled with doubt and self-esteem issues. For others, the greatness they seemed destined for was swept away from them. For one, an almost ceaseless rise to glory.

As a team, we managed a more than respectable 80% success rate on the season.

She did it! With Will dropping a clanger this week, and tumbling all the way down to third, Rose clung on in the crunch to take the title belt in 2017!

Will’s pick of the Lincolnshire Bombers over the Chester Romans means he couldn’t snatch the lead from Rose in time, and actually ended up beneath James and Oheeul, who both finished with 24 games correctly predicted on the season.

As for Matthew and Grant… well, let’s just say that anybody interested in becoming a division correspondent in 2018, mail in your CV to DC Towers. For shame.

CALL OF THE WEEK

Not many fixtures to choose from, so we’re giving the final award to the correspondent who correctly called the game between two 7-2 teams fighting for a better seeding in the post-season, down in the SFC2 South. Well done JJ for correctly picking the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts to beat the Hertfordshire Cheetahs!

Gareth has played for the Birmingham Bulls and Sandwell Steelers, and as a frustrated offensive play-maker craves only the sweet rush that comes with interceptions. He joined Double Coverage at the request of Rob Amor and is only here until he’s picked up by ESPN or Sports Illustrated.
