#TuesdayTally – Week Eleven

Whilst tables are settling into post-season shape across adult ball, our in-house table is as close as ever, with some big names starting to plummet, and some non-starters making shock rises towards the top.

We still haven’t hit 80% overall as a week of tricky fixtures and surprising results saw us as a team fail on four different games.

We have a new king queen of prediction mountain! Will, stung by a second shock Chester loss in the NFC2South makes just his second incorrect prediction all year, whereas Rose had only to pick the reliable London Warriors in the Prem South to move top with just weeks to go. Rob, who for so long lorded it over DC Towers, bragging about his 100% success rate and using the phrase “peasants” liberally has slipped to sixth after backing Coventry to beat Birmingham.

Poor Grant. Even with Matthew having a week off, Grant was unable to capitalise thanks to Britball’s Most Impossible To Predict™, the SFC1East. Whilst he made an excellent call (more on that later), he was let down by the Cambridgeshire Cats, who failed to beat the London Hornets on his behalf.

CALL OF THE WEEK

He may be bottom. He may have had just two weeks without an incorrect prediction but he did call an 0-5 team to beat a team that were only one win off the top of their division… and got it right. For predicting the Colchester Gladiators to beat the Kent Exiles, our call of the week goes to Grant.

Gareth Thomas

Gareth has played for the Birmingham Bulls and Sandwell Steelers, and as a frustrated offensive play-maker craves only the sweet rush that comes with interceptions. He joined Double Coverage at the request of Rob Amor and is only here until he’s picked up by ESPN or Sports Illustrated.
