#TuesdayTally – Week Fifteen

Wow. A crazy week in Britball is reflected in a crazy week for our correspondents. Change at the top, potential sabotage and our unnamed dictatorial editor making a potential Call of the Week?

As a whole, this tumultuous week saw our prediction rate drop slightly.

Will takes the lead with just a few weeks to go! Rose‘s failure to see that the Farnham Knights were simply playing possum all season means she makes just her second boo-boo of the year. Both have three games left to predict. Will’s look fairly cut and dry and will be done by Week 16, but Rose still has a pesky Warriors – Blitz game to predict in Week 17, not the sort of the game she’d like it to come down to! Rob, who for so long reigned supreme, dropped out of the top five, with the Birmingham Bulls letting him down. Not content with ruining his own season, he also chose to incorrectly predict two of JJ‘s games in his absence. Very kind of him. At the other end of the table, Matthew‘s struggle is over. The NFC2 North saw its last games played in Week 15, and we think he’ll just be content with knowing that Grant, who didn’t hit on either of his predictions this week, can no longer catch him. There’s still hope for Grant, and despite us getting his hopes up, Matthew‘s beating heart cannot be stilled just yet.

CALL OF THE WEEK

With both teams sat at 4-4, and with eerily similar numbers in the Points For and Against columns, picking between the Solent Thrashers and Oxford Saints was no mean feat, but Chris managed to call it successfully during a perfect week for him.

Gareth Thomas

Gareth has played for the Birmingham Bulls and Sandwell Steelers, and as a frustrated offensive play-maker craves only the sweet rush that comes with interceptions. He joined Double Coverage at the request of Rob Amor and is only here until he’s picked up by ESPN or Sports Illustrated.
