Despite the playoffs starting in Division One, there’s STILL regular season games going on, and that means we’re still working our correspondents as hard as ever.
Nothing changes overall. We’re still hitting on four in five predictions.
It’s now down to two. That’s it. Nobody else can take the inaugural title. Just 0.12 percentage points divide them. Despite sitting at the top of the pile for almost the entire season, both Rose and Will slipped up in Week Seventeen. Rose lost her 100% record in predicting Blitz-Warriors after the Blitz came out on top, and Will failed to predict that the Halton Spartans would top the Staffordshire Surge.
Matthew can rest now, knowing he’s done just enough to avoid last place even if he fails (once again) in Week Eighteen.
Now the season is over for Rose. Her destiny is out of her hands. If Will gets both of his two predictions spot on next week, he’ll take the title by the slimmest of margins. Anything other than that, and Rose will cling on to the title belt.
CALL OF THE WEEK
In a week slim with fixtures, we will begrudgingly give out this award. It was always going to be a tight contest, but James gets the plaudits this week for correctly picking the 5-3 Swindon Storm to topple the 6-2 Cornish Sharks in a crunch clash towards the top of the SFC 2 West.
