BUCS Premiership North Correspondent – Thomas Snee

Thomas Snee

A Double Coverage lifer, Tom was the one of the first to join the team way back in 2011. Like the aging middle linebacker that always comes back for “one more season”, he’s rejoined the staff after taking a year away to start building a career in PR, and will cover BUCS Premier North for the 2016/17 university season. He’ll also be putting his broadcasting “skills” to the test as an occasional presenter for #DCTV, so look out for Tom at a ground near you.

Football background

After playing a little flag in high school, Tom’s kitted football journey began in 2007 with Huddersfield Hawks. Playing in various positions on both sides of the ball, he graduated in 2010 as the team’s all-time lead touchdown scorer with a grand total of…eight. Fortunately for the Hawks, this “record” has since been surpassed.

In senior football, Tom had a cup of coffee at Yorkshire Rams, Doncaster Mustangs and Sheffield Predators before donning the burgundy and gold of Nottingham Caesars for three seasons, retiring from kitted football in 2013. Shortly after, he helped set up Mansfield Honey Badgers, who ply their trade in the Mid-England Conference of the BAFA Flag League.

Alongside his playing career, Tom also coached at University of Nottingham for two years.
