Young Britball Star, Bamidele Olaseni, Commits to University of Utah

London Blitz U19s Alum, Bamidele Olaseni, has capped off an exciting past few months of offers with a commitment to the University of Utah Utes!

This means the standout offensive tackle will soon be balling out in the NCAA Pac-12 conference – the ‘Conference of Champions’, having won more NCAA National Championships in team sports than any other conference in history!

Utezone writer Steve Bartle waxed lyrical about ‘Bam’s commitment to the team on 247sports.com:

“Olaseni is a unique specimen at a premium position, which means there was plenty of interest in him from across the country. Offensive line coach, Jim Harding and the rest of the Utes staff beat out programs like Auburn, Iowa, Ohio State, Texas, and many others with similar needs along the offensive line, which adds to the value of this recruiting victory.”

Bartle notes Olaseni’s unorthodox route into the game, emphasising the impressive mobility and athleticism that a childhood playing ‘soccer’ has afforded him.

Expectations are high for the Britball standout – might the NFL beckon in a few years time?
