Neil Reynolds cuts BAFA ties over “issues”
Sky Sports’ NFL studio analyst Neil Reynolds has announced that he has ended his relationship with BAFA.
The announcement came in a series of tweets on Thursday afternoon, following weeks of speculation over the nature of the business relationship between the journalist and the sport’s national governing body.
I love promoting UK game but, regrettably, I can no longer work with @BAFAOfficial due to recent events & circumstances beyond my control.

My association with @BAFAOfficial ends immediately. Good luck to all the players, coaches and teams in their current or upcoming seasons.

I cannot say too much but have always enjoyed promoting domestic game. But I feel I was left with no choice other than this course of action https://t.co/VpdmFRV7ao

Until recently, Reynolds co-hosted the monthly BritView NFL podcast with Ali Houghton, but no further details are known of the scope of his role within BAFA.
Double Coverage reached out to BAFA for clarification of the journalist’s official role within the organisation last week, but are yet to hear back from the BAFA board.
In response to a request for comment, Reynolds went no further than to state that “issues arose” between him and the organisation, and that he had enjoyed his time “banging (the) drum for the domestic game.”
